Congratulations to our members who presented at the BT Young Scientists 2019!

 

Last week, two of our members from the Hackers group were at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, where they presented their projects.

Luke, who goes to Clarin College in Athenry, presented a project called “Relax and Reward”, which used a heart rate sensor coupled to a virtual reality world monitor how stressed people are and provide them with relaxing scenes and sounds.

Sean, who along with his friend also called Sean go to Claregalway college, presented a project called “Onion Routing – A Secure and Anonymous Internet” in which they combined a network that encrypts and anonymises traffic while helping to block illict content, by combining an Onion router with HTTPS everywhere. Their project won teh Senior Group Technology award.

Congratulations to Luke and the two Seans on their fantastic projects! We are very proud of their achievements!
